Work: I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1998, and I've worked for The Walt Disney Company in Florida since graduation. I enjoy the product that we deliver everyday as we focus on exceeding expectations which helps in all areas of life. New Urbanism:
Basically new urbanism is the creation of new towns while utilizing old methods. Think any small town in New England that has a vibrant downtown.
Open Source:
The community approach to IT solutions allows for better overall software quality - more people working on the software yields a better product; quicker responses to problems than commercial-ware; and it allows for a cost-effective infrastructure. Likewise, sharing the benefits of open source is important. Many civic groups could benefit from the reduced IT costs by utilizing community powered software.
Civic Responsibility:
As citizens of this great country, I believe we are called to civic action. Most basically, we should be encouraging and challenging leadership to strengthen our communities and help those in need.
Faith:
Faith is an important part of my life. To summarize my beliefs, Jesus is our ultimate role model, he died for our sins, and he wants us to love one another. HE teaches that a relationship with HIM is more important than legalism.
